Down with Love: Steamed Broccoli

Introduction
Steamed Broccoli. It hardly needs a recipe, but if you're new to cooking there's no harm in reviewing a very basic recipe. You're going to need a small saucepan, one that has a lid, and a steamer insert. There are also steamer pots available that essentially do the same thing. If you don't use the steamer, but simply put the broccoli in the water you have boiled vegetables, which are less crispy and, perhaps, less nutritious as well. Steam is our friend.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch of broccoli
Directions
Add the broccoli to the saucepan, cover, and turn down the heat to low. Cook for 5-10 minutes. It should be somewhat crisp and vibrant green, not washed out, olive or mushy. Remove from the pan and serve. Copyright 2007 Acme Computing Inc.
